Wow! Morwitch: Breaking the Rules by Jennifer Redmile is an amazing story. The first page grabs you and doesn't let go; you'll struggle to put this book down. The characters are wonderfully well-developed and incredibly likable and, although it is a fantasy story, they feel real and believable.
The plot is unique, which is refreshing in a genre where finding new storylines seems almost impossible, and although it is dark in places, the romantic aspect sweetens the deal. Jennifer Redmile clearly has a vivid imagination, and her writing style makes for compelling reading. It is a slow starter, but the first few chapters set the scene for what's to come - a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions.
If you love magical stories, this has it in spades, in more ways than one, and I really hope there is going to be a sequel.

Loveable characters, spinning plot. A joyous day spent reading. Five stars all the way. (I usually skip over the books labeled romantic, but I'm glad I didn't. Clean romance, G-rated sexual content.)
I can't wait to see how Ellie and Jayce confront the Dark One and defeat him.
