This sequel absolutely delivers! The forbidden bond between Ellie and Jayce is explored with so much more depth, and the stakes feel genuinely higher as they're hunted by their own communities.
I loved how the author gradually reveals why their connection is forbidden - the historical pieces and prophecy elements are woven in naturally rather than feeling like information dumps. The world-building expands in unexpected ways that made me appreciate the first book even more.
Read this during a rainy weekend and couldn't put it down. The emotional connection between the characters feels authentic, and I found myself genuinely worried for them as the danger increased.
If you enjoyed the first book, this takes everything that worked and elevates it further. The perfect blend of fantasy, adventure and forbidden connection!"

"This book carries on from where Morwitch 1 left me on a cliffhanger and continues with the action packed suspense, tension, drama, mystery, love and fantasy that both books are packed with. Book 2 is as good as if not better than book 1 which, for me, is always a massive feat in books as alot of the time series tend to dwindle as they continue. More betrayals, more characters and a perfect ending. Well done Jennifer Redmile on yet another success. Highly recommend to anyone who has read book 1 Morwitch first. Not suitable as a stand alone in my opinion."
